Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and the incumbent governor of Anambra State as been reelected.
Going by the results announced so far by the the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC of the gubernatorial election that took place yesterday, Obiano is comfortably ahead in 18 of the 21 state’s local governments released.
In the election in which voters’ are visibly offered money to vote for a specific candidate, Governor Obiano comes top in what termed the triumph of the highest spender.
Obiano defeated Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress and Obaze Oseloka of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to clinch the victory.
