The reasons why the United States of America has denied former vice president, Atiku Abubakar visa into the country for years and Atiku’s revelation that President Muhammadu Buhari suffered the same fate before he was elected will remain in realm of conjecture for the time being as the US government refused to give the reason for its decision.

According to Nick Sadoski, an official of the Department of State said to Punch that visa cases are confidential matters.

“Due to US privacy laws, visa cases are considered confidential. We do not discuss specific cases. “Unfortunately, I don’t have anything further to add at this time.

“Regarding questions about visas, due to US privacy laws, visa cases are considered confidential and we do not discuss private cases.”

This was Sadoski’s response to the question posed by Punch on Atiku’s visa denial and his allegation that President Buhari was barred entry into the US.
