If you received a text message or phone call from any of these numbers- 09030418933, 08101728210 on any issues relating to your BVN or any relating to your bank, please ignore!
The message usually comes in this format:
Dear Customer, due to the BVN validation exercise in compliance with CBN directives, your ATM card has been deactivated; call our help line on 08101728210.
At times, you will receive the message not necessarily from a phone number but from an SMS subject title ‘BANK NOTICE‘.
Visit your bank if you have any complain. Any text or call requiring you to provide your bank details is a FRAUD! No bank in Nigeria will send you the above message.
We call on the telecom operators to device a means of blocking the phone numbers used by these fraudsters to fraud innocent Nigerians. The security apparatus must also find a way of tracing these people and put them out of business.
