Bruno Mars’ single “That’s What I Like” has topped the Billboard Pop Songs airplay chart, tying Justin Timberlake for most No. 1s on the chart among male solo artists with eight.

The pop superstars are now fifth on the all-time list for most Pop Songs No. 1s. They stand behind Katy Perry and Rihanna (11 apiece) and Maroon 5 and P!nk (9 each).

Mars first reached No. 1 on the chart with his guest appearance on B.o.B’s “Nothin’ On You” in 2010. Since then, he’s returned to the top with “Just the Way You Are,” “Grenade,” “It Will Rain,” “Locked Out of Heaven,” “When I Was Your Man,” Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk!,” and his latest, “That’s What I Like.”

As a songwriter, Mars also topped the chart with Flo Rida’s 2009 single “Right Round,” which he co-wrote. The latter placement doesn’t count towards the record.

Timberlake has also had a supreme solo career on the Pop Songs chart, starting with “Rock Your Body” in 2003. He most-recently reached the top spot with last year’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” Beyond his work as a solo artist, he also hit No. 1 with *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” and 2000’s “It’s Gonna Be Me,” though those also don’t count towards his soloist number.

“That’s What I Like” is Mars’ second single off 24K Magic. The album’s title track soared as high as No. 5 on the Pop Songs chart in December.

Bruno is currently on his “24K Magic World Tour” with Anderson Paak, which is slated to hit the U.S. on July 15.
