President Muhammad Buhari will be visiting the southeast of the country this week.
The visit is to campaign for the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the Anambra State gubernatorial elections which comes up next few days.
In a statement by the President’s Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity), Garba Shehu, said Buhari will visit Ebonyi and Anambra States. According to Shehu, Buhari will leave Abuja on Tuesday morning and return on Wednesday.
The visit is also seen as a bid to douse the secession agitation of the the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the cry of marginalization by the Igbos. The visit will go along way to build bridge between Buhari’s administration and the people of the southeast.
