Here is another good reason to grab that cup of coffee as a recent study published in the Hepatology Research Reveals that drinking coffee thrice a day and avoiding smoking would totally reduce the mortality rate of HIV and even HCV.

HIV is a non-curing disease that directly targets human liver and sometimes increases the risk of heart-related diseases and liver cancer. The mortality rate is reduced to half and even more than that. Severe HIV infection can further give rise to chronic hepatitis C, fibrosis, cirrhosis and the last phase will be the final stage of liver failure.

Dominique Salmon, lead researcher of the study says, “The rates of HIV and HCV are increasing day by day. This is the peak time where we have found a solution so that patient rarely reaches the last stage.”

According to the research done, coffee consists of an ingredient called as polyphenols that help to protect your liver and decrease its burning sensation. Researchers tracked the medical information of the HIV and HCV infected people from last five years. The count was around 1,028.

The mortality rate was 77 deaths suffering from hepatitis C, while it decreased by 80 percent in those who were miles away from this disease. After carrying out a lengthy investigation, they came to the conclusion that patients who drank a cup of coffee thrice a day had decreased rate by of HIV infection by 50 percent. It helped in killing the virus that induces the infection to the next stage.

Hence, reduced HIV mortality rate is directly linked with the ceasing of smoke and intake of a cup of coffee three times in a day. The entire research was based only on these three factors, Maria Patrizia, at the University of Aix Marseille concluded saying.
