This is indeed a trying times for the former minister of petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke who is battling ill-health and a number of corruption cases and now she has forfeited about N4.08 billion of assets to be to the federal government.
Among the assets forfeited is a mansion in Abuja valued at N3.58 billion. The mansion is said to contained jewelry, furniture and a bulletproof gym worth $2 million.
One of the properties worth over N500 million is believed to be at Frederick Chiluba Close in Asokoro District in Abuja.
Monies used in buying the properties are believed to be part of the $10 billion in cash and assets looted by public officials in the last administration.
The seizure is coming days after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) deployed some of its detectives to Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, in the ongoing probe of the former minister.
The properties under surveillance in Port Harcourt are said to be worth over N3 billion.
