The former Minister of Education and #BringBackOurGirls advocate, Obi Ezekwesili has slammed Nigerians for finding it funny the charade and the show of shame going on the National Assembly.
She vent her frustration via series of tweets on her twitter page. She wonders why over N100 billion is spent annual on a National Assembly that is anti-people.
She said, “Be laughing while tragi-comedians that COST more than N100 Billion every year carry on at the @nassnigeria . Better FIGHT for your FUTURE
“The 8th @NGRSenate & @HouseNGR have done NOTHING for CITIZENS except PAY themselves FAT ALLOWANCES, engage in SCANDALS & produce COMEDIES.
“You are a young Nigerian &cannot see the wicked hand you are being dealt? You “entertained” by @NGRSenate @HouseNGR , I kuku sorry for YOU.
“Balance there and be laughing, tweeting & swaggering while the folks in @NGRSenate @HouseNGR joke daily with your future. Na YOU sabii #End.”
The #BringBackOurGirls campaigner questioned the lawmakers attitude to finding the schoolgirls abducted from Chibok by the Boko Haram insurgents.
She noted that lawmakers in the US and UK showed more “concern for abducted #ChibokGirls” than their Nigerian counterparts.
She said, “By the way, how much did @NGRSenate Say it paid for that famous Range Rover it bought for Senate President @bukolasaraki? In this POVERTY?
“Lawmakers in the US and United Kingdom have shown concern for abducted #ChibokGirls but not their own who are BUSY spending ALLOWANCES.

The National Assembly has exhibited sheer lack of seriousness and concern for Nigerians, rather we are regaled with Dino Melaye’s certificate saga, Bukola Saraki’s expensive Range Rover and other mundane issues.
Senate under Saraki’s leadership has brought ignominy to the exalted upper legislative assembly. It does nothing but witch hunt members of the executive who are simply doing their jobs. Saraki and his cohort must go if this administration must implement and achieve its goals.
