The spate of the repatriation of Nigerians continued on Wednesday as 262 returned to the country from Libya.
The returnees were aboard a chartered Libyan Airlines aircraft with registration number 5A-LAR. They arrived at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos at 10 pm on Wednesday, July 26. Their return was facilitated with the help of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Nigerian Embassy in Libya.
The returnees were made up of of 108 males, 135 females, eight children and 11 infants.
There were received by the officials of Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) , the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the Police, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
