In connection with his memo written to President Muhammad Buhari, in which allegations of improprieties was levelled against the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru, the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, is currently in a closed-door meting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the president’s office, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
The minister arrived at the President’s office at about 11.33am. The minister’s memo which was leaked in the press few days catalogued numerous acts of insubordination and violation of due process by the GMD including alleged corrupt award of $25 billion contract.
