After what seems like forever, President Muhammadu Buhari has finally joined the rest of the world to condemn the atrocious trading of African migrant in Libya.

This President found his voice in Cote d’ Ivoire on Tuesday night at an interactive session with members of the Nigerian Community on the sideline of his attendance of the EU-AU summit

President Buhari said it was appalling that “some Nigerians (in the footage) were being sold like goats for few dollars in Libya.”

President Muhammadu Buhari promised that all Nigerians stranded in Libya and other parts of the world will be brought home and rehabilitated.

On the purported death of 26 teenage Nigerian girls recently in the Mediterranean, President said no evidence all the girls are Nigerians. “But the evidence I have from the Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora and Foreign Affairs, (Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa) is that only three of them were identified as Nigerians. But I’ll not be surprised if the majority of them were Nigerians”.

President Buhari vowed to tackle corruption, defeat groups like Islamist militants Boko Haram and improve education, security and economy to stop Nigerians leaving in the first place.
