Usher Raymond might have used the court to wriggle out payment for infecting some people with herpes, but his marriage has been wrecked by the disease and he and his wife, Grace Miguel, have announced their divorce after two years of marriage and nearly 10 years together.
“After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” Usher, 36, and Miguel, 48, said in a joint statement to Us on Tuesday, March 6.
“We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
Back in July of 2017, old court documents surfaced that claimed Usher allegedly infected a woman with herpes back in 2012 and paid her $1.1 million settlement. Three more people later came forward with claims that they had unprotected sex with him after that date and were not made aware that he allegedly had the STD.
