Again – Beyonce In Trouble Over “Drunk in Love” Track with Jay Z

BeyonceJay Z and Timbaland have been sued over their hit collaboration “Drunk in Love,” the New York Daily News reports.

Hungarian performer Monika Miczura, better known as Mitsou, filed suit on Friday, claiming the Grammy-nominated single illegally uses her vocals. Mitsou is seeking unspecified damages and demands distribution of “Drunk in Love” cease.

The a cappella first heard in the beginning of “Drunk in Love” was allegedly sampled from Mitsou’s 1995 song “Bajba, Bajba Pelem” and then digitally manipulated. According to the suit, these lifted vocals compromise 29 percent of the track.

“Mitsou’s incredible voice is widely considered unique and ethereal, and since the 1990’s, she has been in high demand for countless international collaborations as a featured guest singer,” the lawsuit contends.

This won’t be beyonce’s first time of being under fire for allegedly lifting someone else’s work. In 2012, she was accused of plagiarizing the video for “Countdown” from a Belgian choreographer.
