Maryam Adesola Salam was selected by committee of the Nottingham Trent University International Development Office as the official NTU Brand Ambassador for Africa.
According to the letter from Helen Smith the International Marketing Manager and head of the project in the International Development Office at NTU, Maryam was recommended as an ambassador to represent NTU in Africa because of her commitment and contribution to the student community. Maryam was named as a positive role model for future students and should be very proud of this achievement.
The NTU Brand Ambassador for Africa is a multi-faceted role and will involve her appearing in several advertisements in West Africa. Maryam and some of her fellow students will appear in a new online advertising campaign to be launched later this year in Nigeria.
Maryam will have the chance to tell her story to students all over Africa and the world by appearing in a film about her experience at Nottingham Trent University. She will feature on an exclusive NTU webpage for students in Africa.
The special launch celebration for the new advertising campaign will come up soon. The official hosting of an information and welcome session for the new ambassadors was held on Wednesday 29 April at 4.00 pm (London time) in the Arkwright Building, NTU (city campus).
