Put pressure on your elected official. You put them to work. This is a new day in Nigeria. You should make the elected to be accountable. Keep pressuring them.” She stated that every person in this country should support the BBOG group and ensure that the needful is done in the fight against insurgency. “Everyone from senators, representatives and governors, every elected officials should join in the fight. It should not be left just for the activists. Everything must be done to win this war. We tweeted so much about the BBOG. We are supporting you.”

While charging Nigerian leaders on good governance, the congresswoman noted that “Nigerian elected officers got a violence free election so that they can bring peace to the people of Nigeria and it is only a group like the BBOG that can bring the government to fulfil this promise.” She added that the Nigerian elected officers have an obligation to the people of the country to work towards bringing peace to the nation as they were brought into power through a violence free election.

Also, Congresswoman Sheila stated that American government has been in support of Nigeria in the fight against the insurgency and called on all Nigerians to support the government of the day so as to bring about lasting peace in the North East and an end to the Boko Haram sect. “America has been a strong supporter of Nigeria. America is the first country to declare Boko Haram a terrorist group. We do not support the killings and abduction of people. We are hoping to connect with parliamentarians across the nation to lift each other up to tell Boko Haram that we are not afraid of it. You all should support your leader so that they will know you are in support of them,” she stated.
She expressed the support of the congress for the BBOG group and its fight for the release of the abducted girls.
