The multinational force formed to battle Boko Haram after so much lull has finally commenced operations. The operation ARM learnt commences against the insurgency group along along the border between Niger and Nigeria.
This is according to Brigadier-Gen. Abdou Sidikou Issa, who is the tactical chief of staff for troops based in Niger’s southern zone of Diffa, said troops from Chad and Nigeria were involved in the operation.
The 8,700 Multinational Joint Task Force to combat the menace of Boko Haram comprises of Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger, Chad and Benin.
