The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is making frantic efforts to mend all the cracks in its rank. For this reason, the leadership of the National Assembly elected on the party’s ticket, led by the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, is scheduled to lead the Senate APC Caucus to the national headquarters of the party in Abuja.
The meeting of the party leadership and the APC Caucus in the Senate is billed for today barring any changes. The much-anticipated meeting of Odigie-Oyegun with the APC Caucus in the National Assembly is the first of its kind since the inauguration of 8th National Assembly on June 9, 2015.
The meeting is said to be on the heels of recommendations by APC governors and ministers in the aftermath of the visit of Imo State governor, Rochas Okorochas, who is the chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) to the leadership of both chambers of the National Assembly few weeks ago, after paying a similar visit to the party leadership at the party secretariat.
