Bodybuilder, Golden Globe winner and the former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for his roles in films such as ‘Stay Hungry’, ‘The Terminator’, ‘Total Recall’ and ‘Predator’. The actor and bodybuilder was born on the 30th of July 1947 in Thal, Austria is 70.
Whilst he is getting older he is not looking to stop his career from running on, as several projects have been announced to be in the works including ‘The Legend of Conan’.
In his seven decades on Earth he’s managed to add Mr Universe, actor, producer, businessman, philanthropist and activist to his CV.
He started out as a professional body-builder, earned himself a reputation as one of the tough guys of cinema and branched into politics by serving two terms as the 38th Governor of California.
On his 70 birthday, he got the biggest compliment from his longtime pal and screen rival, Sylvester Stallone, 71.
One day earlier, 71-year-old Stallone shared a side by side pic on Instagram of the two stars at their buffest back in the day, adding the caption “Pre – HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARNOLD!!!! As long as you live and beyond, you’re always going to be the “BIG MAN ” who set the bar so high that it will never be surpassed, an action hero legend!”
Schwarzenegger and Stallone have co-starred in Escape Plan and The Expendables franchise, going head to head with their action skills.
