Blood Bath Mars Biafra’s 50 Years Anniversary Celebration

0

What was meant to be a day of commemoration of the 50 years anniversary of the declaration of the  defunct Biafra republic turned into blood bath as pro-Biafra protesters clashed with soldiers and police as no few than two people confirmed dead.

In some other reports, the number of the dead is put between 40 and 50. Late Chief  Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, declared the secession of the Republic of Biafra from Nigeria on May 30, 1966.

There were clashes in Onisha and Asaba. The pro-Biafran protesters also took to the street in Port Harcourt, Enugu, Owerri and Calabar.
