President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Jigawa State on Monday for a two-day official visit to the state.
The presidential plane landed at the state capital, Dutse Airport at about by 10:00 am.
The president was received at the airport by Governors Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, and Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano.
Also at the airport were the Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi, Emir of Kazaure, Najib Husseini Adamu, Emir of Rimgim, Abubakar Sayyidi Mahmoud, Emir of Gumel, Ahmadu Mohammed Sani, among other traditional rulers, as well as politicians.
The president was welcomed by a mammoth crowd. While in the state, the president will commission and inaugurate some projects of Badaru’s administration. Projects include Tasheguwa-Guri Road, Abunabo-Kadira-Guri Road and the Desina water scheme. President Buhari will inaugurate the state social intervention programmes, flag off Hadejia valley irrigation at Auyo Local government area and open the state mini agricultural show.
He will return to Abuja on Tuesday to commission the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) new headquarters at Jabi.
