In line with the recommendations of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo led investigative panel saddle to probe the allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and the Director General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayodele Oke, President Muhammad Buhari on Monday terminated the appointment of Mr. Lawal, and appointed Boss Mustapha as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The appointment of Mustapha takes immediate effect.
Also in compliance with the report of the investigative panel, the President terminate the appointment of Mr. Oke as the DG of the National Intelligence Agency and has further approved the setting up of a 3-member panel to, among other things, look into the operational, technical and administrative structure of the Agency and make appropriate recommendations.
