Buhari Sworn in SGF, NSA, Media Aide

President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in the first members of his cabinet appointed most recently with hope for the ministerial appointments.

The appointees; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno and Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina took the oath of office at the council chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja with President Buhari presiding.

Adesina was appointed on the 31st of May, Monguno on 13th July whileLawal was appointed on the 27th of August.

Making remarks on behalf of his colleagues, the SGF, Engr. Lawal asked the president to accept the best of their assurances and thanked for choosing them to serve . “We did not have to pass the examination to get appointed into these positions not because of our tribes, or our faiths, or our political groups that we were considered worthy for these positions.

“If it is such, I am sure none of us would have been considered worthy of these appointments. We appreciate the president and we appreciate God that he has blessed us with these privileged appointments” he said .

Buhari did not make any remarks nor did he responded to criticism that he favoured the north at the brief ceremony yesterday.
