Buhari’s Committee On National Carrier Begins Work

President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is really giving serious thought to the re-establishment of a Nigerian National Carrier. To this end, a committee has been set up to bring the project to fruition.

The committee, which has been mandated to carry out the assignment with vigor, has begun sitting in Abuja.

According to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Aviation, Hajia Binta-Bello, the establishment of the National Carrier has become inevitable and has been justified by economic consideration, strategic national interest and also job creation.

The ministerial committee has a former Managing Director of Discovery Airline, Captain Mohammed Abdulsalam as the Chairman.
