Dasukigate: Okonjo-Iweala Releases Memo To Exonerate Herself

Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has taken further steps to exonerate herself of any complicity in the Dasuki’s $2.1 arms deal by releasing memo which she wrote to former President Goodluck Jonathan on the transfer of 300 million US dollars and 5.5 million pounds to the former National Security Adviser, Retired Col. Sambo Dasuki.

Clearing the air on the burning issue, the former Minister released on Friday, December 11, the memo dated January 20, in which she sought Jonathan’s approval of $330 million and £5.5 million, requested by Dasuki’s office.
