Ebola Heroine, Dr. Stella Adadevoh Honoured at 2014 Nollywood Movie Awards Nite

The Heroine of Nigeria’s battle over Ebola, Dr Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, was on Saturday, October 18, 2014, honoured alongside Nigerian film veteran Tunde Kelani and other Nollywood stars at the 2014 Nollywood Movie Awards. She got the posthumous award for her fight against the spread of Ebola in Nigeria, in which she eventually lost her life.

The event which was held at Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, was hosted by actors Dakore Akande, Gideon Okeke, Uru Eke with TV host Denrele Edun, and Cool FM’s Kaylah Oniwo serving as red carpet hosts.

Notable Nollywood stars honoured for their outstanding work in the industry includes: Mike Ezuruonye who emerged as the best male lead actor in a movie, Ireti Doyle as the best lead actress. The movie ‘Flower Girl’ was a winner in four different categories. Other winners includes: Best Rising Star Male — Tope Tedela (A Mile From Home), Tinsel for Best TV/Web Series.
