Three suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers have been killed after one of them detonated an explosive device by a parked fuel tanker early Friday morning along Damboa Road, Maiduguri.
Two other fuel tankers were also burnt as a result of the explosion.
The spokesperson to the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA North-East, Abdulkadir Ibrahim disclosed that the bodies of the three suicide bombers have been evacuated by emergency workers.
He said: “The fire has been brought under control while casualty evacuation has been concluded.”
The Borno State Police Command also confirmed multiple blasts after suspected suicide bomb attack around NNPC depot in Damboa Road, Maiduguri. The command spokesman, Victor Isuku, confirmed the blasts on Friday.
