If there is truth in the article in the Daily Star, former Portsmouth, Queens Park Ranger and Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, is set to become the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
Salisu Yusuf is currently on the saddle on an interim capacity and will take charge of the two upcoming friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg. He was put on the saddle after the Nigeria Football Federation refused to give Samson Siasia, who was given the job on a temporary basis following Sunday Oliseh’s shock resignation in February a full contract.
Daily Star claims that Redknapp, who was once tipped to become England coach, will now take the job on a permanent basis. The 69-year-old recently ended a two-match deal with Jordan’s national team.
