Few days after the death of Senator Malam Ali Wakili, representing Bauchi South District, another member of the National Assembly is dead. A three-time member of the House Of Representatives, Hon. Umar Jibril, 57, representing Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency in the house of representatives, is dead.
Jibril died after a brief illness.
Jibril was until his death the deputy majority leader of the house. He was also a former speaker of the Kogi state house of assembly.
He was famous for sponsoring the non-governmental organization regulatory commission bill which generated so much furore.
