In commemoration of the 57th independence anniversary of Nigeria, President Muhammad Buhari today made an unannounced visit to the Nigerian troops battling Book Haram terrorist sect in Maiduguri.
President Buhari congratulated the military for the efforts they were making to return peace and normalcy to Borno State and indeed the northeast of the country
He also express appreciation to the people of Borno state for being patient with the government and for their support to the Nigerian military in the fight against insurgency in the region.
The visit is seen as a morale booster to the Nigerian military especially those fighting Book Haram in the northeast.
