After it was previously reported that actor Jamie Foxx experienced a mysterious health crisis last month, American boxing icon, Iron Mike Tyson, has revealed that the actor had a stroke.
The 55-year-old actor received therapy at a Chicago hospital that specializes in providing care for adults with “severe complex conditions,” including stroke recovery.
Jamie isn’t feeling well, according to ex-boxer Mike, who appeared on the Valuetainment podcast. “A stroke, they said. I’m unsure of what happened to him.”
In April, Jamie, real name Eric Bishop, was hospitalised while filming the action comedy Back In Action starring Cameron Diaz in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to rumours, Jamie’s health issue has disrupted filming; in his place, 51-year-old Cameron has been using body doubles.
Corinne, Jamie’s daughter, was one of the actors weekend guests at the physical therapy facility.
The facility, which is billed as the best rehabilitation centre in the nation and handles “the most severe, complex conditions,” was where Corrine was seen coming. It is an expert in treating serious illnesses like strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries.
In a statement on May 12, Corrine insisted that her father had been “out of the hospital for weeks” and provided an update on his status.
Corine confirmed on an Instagram post that her father is currently receiving “great care” and “is already on his way to recovery.
Jamie, who is recovering well’ at the institution after initially receiving treatment at a hospital in Atlanta, is believed to have arrived there in late April.
When Mike Tyson was asked on the “Valuetainment” podcast if he was following “what’s going on with Jamie Foxx,” Tyson said, “He’s not feeling well.”
Host Patrick Bet-David said, “Something’s going on.” The legendary boxer added, “Yeah, they said a stroke.”
So much mysteries surrounding Jamie Foxx’s health scare. It is still not clear if Tyson has firsthand knowledge of Foxx’s health issue, adding, “I have no idea what happened to him.
“Hey listen, we can’t anticipate our next breath. We don’t know when we’re going to die. After we leave this, bad stuff could happen.”
Foxx was scheduled to star in a biographical television series centered on the life of the boxing legend. According to reports, the limited series, “Tyson,” is said to be executive produced by Tyson, Foxx, Antoine Fuqua and Martin Scorsese.
