0

The Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung and the members of the board of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF are scheduled to meet today to decide if to employ a foreign gaffer for the national team, the Super Eagles.

The meeting will also enable the minister to assess the country’s  failed qualification bid to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Gabon. The meeting is also anticipated to approve some reforms in the administration of the football in Nigeria and approve the NFF’s programmes for the World Cup qualifiers.

The NFF is favourable to idea of employing a foreign coach- a move the minister consider unnecessary and demands convictions from the footballing body to earn his approval.

The NFF is believed to have opened process to recruit a foreign coach with Frenchman Paul Le Guen believed to lead the race and expected to receive $40,000 equivalent of N12 million per month as the new manager of the Super Eagles.
