Rapper Rick Ross, 42, has been hospitalized with a mystery medical condition, according to TMZ. His condition is so critical that he was placed on life support
The Aston Martin Music musician has been the subject of multiple reports about his health after he was found unresponsive at home in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The news site reports that Rick was taken to a Miami hospital after someone called the emergency services at around 3.30am on Thursday when they found him ‘in distress’ and “slobbing out the mouth”
TMZ reports that Rick is receiving treatment at a local hospital’s cardiac unit, which may be a sign he suffered from a heart attack or similar, and that he is hooked up to a form of life support known as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation – which pumps much-needed oxygen back into the blood outside the body, before it’s sent back in to the patient’s system.
It essentially takes over the function of the heart and lungs when a patient is unable to do so themselves.
Rick has previously suffered from seizures, having experienced two on separate private jet flights in October 2011, which required hospital treatment.
