The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, said that as a law-abiding citizen, he would appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on Tuesday.

Saraki made this known to newsmen on Monday in Abuja after the Appeal Court had dismissed a suit he filed to stop his trial at the tribunal.

The senate president’s statement is coming after Monday’s issuance of a fresh arrest warrant on him by the Chairman of the Tribunal, Danladi Yakubu Umar, following a short adjournment at the resumed hearing over his alleged false declaration of assets.

Umar had ordered the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase and other security agents to present Saraki before his court unfailingly by 10 am on Tuesday.

Saraki said that he was merely exercising his own right both at the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal.

“Well with the ruling of the Appeal Court, I think based on legal advice and being a law abiding citizen, I will be there I have nothing to hide. “One was exercising his own right both at the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal.”
