The National leader of the All Progressives Party (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday expressed disappointment with leaders of his party over the loss of five House of Representatives seats to the rival Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election.

Tinubu, as an emergency stakeholders meeting held in the party’s secretariat in Ikeja, told the leaders to avoid a repeat of the experience in Saturday’s Governorship and state Assembly election.

At the meeting were the state chairman of the party, Chief Henry Ajomale; Tinubu’s wife and Senator-elect, Oluremi Tinubu as well as the two other senators-elect, Gbenga Ashafa and Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

Tinubu, a former Governor of the state, reeled out some of the results across the local government areas in the state and declared: “You, the party leaders have disappointed us. For the first time, we lost five House of Representatives seats to the opposition party, this is unacceptable, a huge disappointment. Though in politics you win some, you lose some, you have failed. So there is no excuse to fail this time.”
