UK Jailed Nigerian Pastor For Stealing £4.1 Million

A Nigerian, Samuel Kayode who works as a school accountant in the United Kingdom has been handed a 9-year prison sentence for stealing approximately £4.1 million of school funds.

Kayode, 59, who is also a part-time pastor, was found guilty of stealing the huge sum of money from the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation Trust in South London.

Kayode is said to have spent the large sum of money on an extravagant lifestyle, buying a string of properties. The case which has been kept secret for almost two years is believed to be the UK’s biggest ever education fraud.

Kayode was ordered to pay the £4.1 million back but has failed. It is believed he has transferred most of it back to Nigeria
