The VI International Sports Forum “Russia – Country of Sports” will take place in October 10-13, 2016 in Vladimir region.
The Forum “Russia – Country of Sports” – is the leading business event in sports sector and the main communications platform that promotes the buildup of the modern sports industry.
The Forum is devoted to the popularization and promotion of physical training and sports for all, to the development of equipment and material resources, the investment policy in sports, and international cooperation.
The largest international forum brings together over 3,000 people from different regions of Russia and foreign countries every two years.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin will takes part in the plenary session and sets the tone of the Sports Forum. Members of the Russian Government and the State Duma, representatives of the IOC, heads of national and international sports federations, ministries and departments, international sports stars and representatives of various business organizations are also participating in the event.

The Forum programme includes a plenary session, discussion sessions and a variety of activities for the press, the festival of All-Russian sports complex “Ready for Labour and Defense” (RLD), carrying out one of the stages of the traditional festival “Days of Sambo”, a variety of sporting events and site visits of the cultural heritage of the Vladimir region.
In addition, as a part of the Forum agreements on cooperation and interaction in the field of development of physical training and sports for all will be signed between the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and the Regions of the Russian Federation. The sports development strategy consistent with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) will be approved as well.
Two international exhibitions: “Sports Literature, Press and Multimedia” and “Modern Sport: Innovations and Perspectives, MSIP” are included in the programme.
Sports authorities of the Russian Federation regions, sports federations, companies and associations, designers and constructors of sports facilities, developers of technologies for the sports industry, manufacturers of sports equipment, clothing, shoes, accessories, nutrition and dealer companies and retail network represent MSIP exhibitors.
Russian and foreign periodicals and book publishers, specializing on the sports publications will be a part of the literary exhibition.
The main directions of the exhibition MSIP-2016:

- RLD complexand efficient system of physical education;

The Forum “Russia – Country of Sports” was established by the Presidential Decree № 863 of July 27, 2009 and the Decree of January 15, 2016 № 5-rp. in order to consolidate the best practices of the development of the sports industry in order to solve the current problems of the state policy in the field of physical training and sports for all.
