Award winning singer Yemi Alade will launch a jewelry line in collaboration with online jewelry retailer, Bland2Glam On November 5, reports Nigerian Entertainment Today.
The jewelry line which is called ‘Yemi Alade Collection’ will be launched at the Civic Centre in Lagos.
The collection is an exclusive range of exotic costume jewelry inspired by the career and personality of Yemi Alade.
Also to be launched on the same platform is the ‘Get Mented’ initiative: An innovative mentor-ship network for girls and women across Nigeria which aims to provide a platform via which girls and women across Nigeria are given the opportunity to give and receive mentor-ship in vocational/career development, self-improvement, financial intelligence and intellectual development.
Born Yemi Eberechi Alade (13 March 1989) but simply known as Yemi Alade. She burst into the limelight after winning the Nigerian Peak Talent Show in 2009. She is best known for her hit single “Johnny”.
Yemi was born in Abia State, Nigeria. Her father James Alade is of Yoruba origin while her mother Helen Uzoma is of Igbo origin. She is the fifth out of the seven children in her family and studied Geography at the University of Lagos.
