Trevor Noah Bags An Emmy

Trevor Noah, US based South African comedian has won an Emmy award for his YouTube comedy special, The Daily Show Between the Scenes.

The win will be some comfort to Noah and his team after they missed out on a nomination in the Best Variety Talk Series category at this year’s awards.

Noah couldn’t attend in person to receive the award, but said he as deeply grateful for the opportunity.

Noah was recently in his home country on a four show long tour. In 2016, his autobiography, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, was published.S

Since his landing in the US in 2015, Noah has been nothing but a pride of joy to South Africans and indeed the entire continent.

He’s won, among others, the GLAAD award for Outstanding Talk Show Episode, two NAACP Image Awards for his book, Born a Crime, and even claimed Best Host award at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards.
