Afrobeats superstars Rema, CKay, and Burna Boy are the most streamed artists in the Middle East, according to data.

The Afrobeats genre has experienced enormous global success in recent years, particularly in nations like the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and France, where many Nigerians and other Africans live.

It’s noteworthy to note, though, that the genre is currently becoming more widespread and well-liked across Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.

It is evidence of both the universal appeal of Afrobeats and the talent of the artists who are shattering stereotypes and leaving their mark on the world of music.

Afrobeats reached new heights outside of Africa in the early 2000s because to celebrities like 2Face, P-Square, and D’banj, who dominated the African music landscape.

Due to their collaborations with American artists like T. Pain, Akon, Snoop Dogg, and Rick Ross, these Nigerian icons helped Afrobeats get some international recognition.

Afrobeats superstars Rema, CKay, and BurnaBoy are the most streamed artists in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), according to data.

The most streamed female musicians, however, are Tems and Ayra Starr.

The most streamed Afrobeats artists in Asia and India include Rema, CKay, and Libianca.

It has been amazing to watch CKay’s climb to stardom across the Middle East and Asia. It all started with his debut single, “Love Nwantiti” which went viral on social media in 2021 and quickly became the most popular song outside of Nigeria.

Because of the song’s popularity in North Africa, CKay decided to collaborate with Moroccan rapper ElGrande Toto to create a remix.

As ‘Love Nwantiti’ became the first African song to top the Indian International Singles Chart, the partnership marked only the start of CKay’s international triumph.

Following CKay’s success and the rising recognition of African music in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) area, many Afrobeats performers have since begun to focus on Eastern audiences.

The globe has been swept up in Rema’s remix of Selena Gomez’s smash hit song “Calm Down.” Thousands of fans can be seen singing along to the upbeat song in recent video from his tour of India.

Unsurprisingly, the song became the first to reach number one on the Indian International Music list and the IFPI Middle East and North African list, giving the singer a Guinness World Record.
