0

A journalist with the Punch, Mr. Olaleken Adetayo, who was expelled from Aso Rock, by the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Abubakar, barely 24 hours ago has been recalled to his duty post by the Presidency.

This development was revealed by the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who said that the expulsion has been reversed.

He further revealed that it was the Director General, Directorate of State Services (DSS) Alhaji Lawal Daura who ordered the reversal of the expulsion order.

The expulsion of Adetayo was sequel to his report on the President Buhari’s health titled, “ Fresh Anxiety At Aso Rock Over Buhari’s Health”. It was also learnt that the CSO was also not pleased with Adetayo’s column, Aso Rock Lens, published on Saturday, April 22, 2017, and titled: “Seat of power’s event centres going into extinction.”

This is the second time under this administration that expelled journalists will be recalled. Before Adetayo’s case, it was DeutchWalle’s correspondent Ubale Musa that was expelled by the Jonathan’s administration but recalled by Presidency under Buhari.
