Oatmeal contains high amount of zinc, iron, magnesium & potassium that helps promote hair growth and also improves the skin tone, here are a few benefits:

Benefits of Oatmeal

Serves as an excellent hair moisturizer, as it acts as humectants rich in Vitamin B that draws water from the atmosphere and penetrates the cortex of the hair.

Helps combat Hair loss, oatmeal contributes to thickening/strengthening of the hair hence, makes it less brittle and more elastic.

Treats dandruff

Promotes Shine

Treats dry and itchy scalp

Fights Acne

Relieves Itchiness

Serves as a Natural Cleanser for the skin

Promotes soft & silky hair: Oatmeal contains beta glucan, a polysaccharide that adds a nice slip to hair and act as an emollient to the hair..

How to Use Oatmeal

Oatmeal as hair rinse: Wash and condition hair as usual, add 2 quarts of warm water to 4 tsp oatmeal, add 1 oz glycerine and 2 tsp of any natural oil of choice, mix properly until smooth, make sure oatmeal is fully dissolved before using it to avoid getting visibly stuck in your hair.

To fight acne: 2 tsp of  oatmeal and honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice, few drops of tea tree oil, mix properly to form paste and apply to face/affected area, let sit for 10 minutes and rinse out with lukewarm water. This will absorb and remove excess oil & bacteria from your skin, it will also help exfoliate dead skin cells, thus helping to combat acne.

Skin lightening : Oatmeal improves the skin tone & texture and smoothing out blotchy areas. It is increasingly used in cosmetology for various skin care products such as body scrubs, soaps, exfoliating cremes and general body lotions of reputed brands.

Natural Cleanser:  Oatmeal contains natural cleanser called Saponins thst can remove dirt & oil from the pores without causing irritation. Leaving behind a soft & silky feel on the skin.

Oatmeal can form part of your skincare & haircare regimen as it is effective in getting rid of dead skin cells that build up in the pores.
