Boko Haram Kidnapped 40 NNPC Workers, Civilian JTF

The much dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram might have been weakened but not yet decimated as the terror group kidnapped about 40 oil exploration workers contracted by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and members of the Civilian JTF.

The oil workers including 10 geological researchers from the University of Maiduguri were exploring for crude oil in the Lake Chad Basin might have been killed or abducted.

Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) spokesman Ndu Ughamadu said on Wednesday the geologists and surveyors contracted to work on oil exploration in nearby Lake Chad were abducted near Jibi village in Borno state on Tuesday afternoon.
