First Lady Returned From London With Messages Of Appreciation From President Buhari

The First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari returned to the country this morning from Britain where she went to check on the ailing President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to statement issued by the spokesperson for the wife of the president, Suleiman Haruna, Mrs. Buhari, on arrival, conveyed the appreciation of President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians over their constant prayers and said he would soon return to the country.

Mrs. Buhari called on Nigerians to continue to be strong in the face of challenges and to support the Federal Government in implementing the agenda for which they were elected.

“Mr. President thanked the acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for his loyalty and called on Nigerians to continue to support the acting President in his effort to actualize the mandate of the All Progressives Congress,” she said.

Mrs Buhari left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on May 30.

President Buhari has had numerous sojourn to the United Kingdom for medical treatment since he was sworn-in in 2015. He left for his present trip on May 7. The nature of his illness hasn’t been disclosed to Nigerians.
