In a newly released video after that reports that he has been injured in an attack by Nigerian military, Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau said he is alive and well.
The screenshot from the clip was released by a journalist close the sect leadership, Ahmad Salkida.
According to Salkida, the Shekau video was recorded on Thursday, May 4, 2017, by 1:00pm, few hours after reports said he was injured.
He added that Shekau spoke behind a camouflage, while reportedly boasting that the military will never find his whereabouts. Salkida wrote, “Shekau boasted that his whereabouts will never be known to authorities and ended the clip with ‘Shekau yananan. Inanan, inanan, inanan’”
It was reported extensively few days ago that Shekau was injured and his deputy killed in an air strike by the Nigerian Air Force
