India Arrest Nigerian With Hard Drugs Valued At $525,000.

A Nigerian who goes by the name Chinedu Okafor has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of the state of Gujarat, India in possession of drugs including 843gm of methamphetamine, 255gm of cocaine and 65 gm of ecstasy tablets.

The 27 years old was travelling by the New Delhi- Goa train. Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Gujarat Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and railway police arrested the suspect at Vadodara railway station. The drugs were concealed in items such as ladies footwear, bags and a pen stand. The estimated street value of the drugs is put at over Rs 3.5 crore, about $525,000.

An investigation was underway to ascertain the source as well as recipient of the consignment.
