The Vice Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Prof. Ibrahim Garba, on Monday put paid to the controversy surrounding Senator Dino Melaye over his assertion that he attended the institution and bagged a degree.
Garba, who appeared before the Senate committee set up to probe the certificate scandal, said Melaye from the institution’s records, graduated with a third-class degree in Geography.
The Kogi State born senator on his part said he is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, although he is yet to collect his certificate from the institution.
He said he intends to collect his certificate when he visits the institution on Friday.
