Muslims Celebrate Eid-el Kabr

The over 2 billion Muslims in the world today celebrate Eid el Kabr or Eid all Adha after the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca.

The multi-day festivities is in commemoration of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his only son to Allah (God).

Eid el Kabr, ‘Feast of Sacrifice’ is one of the two major festivals in Islam.
