Nigerians On KLM Flight Protested Maltreatment And Deportation Of Another Nigerian

0

A video has gone viral showing how Nigerians on a KLM flight from Amsterdam to Lagos vehemently protested the handcuffing and ill-treatment of another Nigerian about to be deported because he does not have the proper papers.

The Nigerians on the flight refused to stand for the man being chained like a criminal hence the protest which led to the delay of the plane’s take-off.

A video posted on social media shows people demanding that the man in handcuffs be removed from the plane. The crew and Koninklijke Marechaussee, a policing force that works as part of the Dutch military, initially refuses but eventually gives in as more people join the call.

The reason why the Nigerian is being deported is not known. Neither KLM nor the Netherlands immigration official has given any statement on the incident.
