Paramount Unveils First Trailer Of Bob Marley Biopic ‘One Love’

Bob Marley’s life tale is finally being adapted for the big screen, and up-and-coming British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir will play the lead.

Ziggy Marley, the son of Bob Marley, produced the biopic ‘Bob Marley: One Love’, and the first trailer was made available on Thursday. The “King Richard” director Reinaldo Marcus Green’s film chronicles the “Jamming” singer’s ascent to popularity, the social upheaval that sparked his 1978 One Love Peace Concert in Jamaica, and his untimely demise in 1981.

“One Love” will be released in theatres on January 12, 2024, and also features James Norton, Jesse Cilio, and Lashana Lynch. The movie also stars Anthony Welsh, Michael Gandolfini, and British actress Nadine Marshall.

Marley, who passed away from malignant skin cancer at the age of 36, had an impact on several musical genres with his work with The Wailers on songs like “Buffalo Soldier,” “Get Up, Stand Up,” and “No Woman, No Cry.”

As Marley in the teaser, Ben-Adir declares, “Reggae is a people’s music.” “People collaborating.”

In 2024, the life of Bob Marley, the King of Reggae, will be brought on the big screen for the first time.

Producing “Bob Marley: One Love” are the legend’s children, Ziggy and Cedella as well as his wife Rita. The biopic was directed by “King Richard” director Reinaldo Marcus Green.

On January 12, 2024, “Bob Marley: One Love” is scheduled for release. It covers Robert Nesta Marley’s career from the beginning through the time when he rose to fame in the 1970s.
