Politics Meets Art As President Macron Visit Fela’s African Shrine

Politics mixed with arts as French President Emmanuel Macron visited the iconic African Shrine in Ikeja

The African Shrine is the home of Afro beat legend,the  late Fela Anikulapo all through his music life

The French President dress in casual, a white long sleeved shirt rollded up to the elbow arrived the night club to a rousing welcome on Tuesday night. He was received by the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode and top officials of the Nigeria Police, Customs and Immigration.

President Macron will inaugurate the headquarters of Alliance Francaise, a French Language and Cultural Centre in Ikoyi on July 4.

President Macron earlier met with President Muhammadu Buhari where security, trade and other bilateral issues dominated their discussions. The visit is the first official meeting between President Buhari and his French counterpart since later’s assumption of office.
